Our Story
AboutThe Mazi Group.
A privately held global holding company, built from the ground up to lead industries, not follow them.
The founder
ROBINROUQUART.
Everything in this group traces back to one decision: a young man from Ruiselede boarding a plane to the United States in 2018, funded by a loan against the family home.
He grew up in Ruiselede, raised by his mother, and started earning before he was old enough to call it a business, buying security cameras cheaply in China and reselling them in Belgium. Then waiting tables, then a call centre selling ink cartridges by phone. Unglamorous work that taught him the two things the next decade would demand: carrying on after a no, and understanding exactly why someone says yes.
America did not go well at first. A property venture failed. A startup making 3D walkthroughs of houses was the right idea at the wrong moment and failed too. The first cosmetics line ran on licensed formulas that were not his own, filled by hand at a kitchen table, and most of the stock was written off. When Covid arrived, every store that had agreed to carry the brand pulled out at once.

What he did next is the reason the group exists. Using the production contacts he already had, he launched On The Go and sold hand sanitisers in volume, which kept the company alive long enough to build something better. Today the group fills in its own plant in Indianapolis, with bulk production in Miami. Belgian production is the next step.
He speaks about that road publicly now, at trade fairs and on stage, including the parts that are not flattering. He accepts only a handful of engagements a year, so tell us the audience and the date and you will get a straight answer either way.

Origin
From Miamito the world, and back.
The story began in 2018, when Robin Rouquart left Ghent for Miami; the company was incorporated a year later, in 2019, with a conviction that sounds simple and isn't: that doing things properly is always the better business decision.
Mazi comes from the Greek word for together. What began as a single clean beauty brand has grown into a holding company with five active subsidiaries, its own production in the United States, a team of sixty and markets across the USA, Canada, Latin America and Europe.
And the story comes full circle. In 2026 a new launch comes to Belgium and Europe.
"I left Belgium to learn how to build a company. I came back to build one here."Robin Rouquart · Founder & CEO

The operating model
A holding thatactually operates.
Most holding companies are financial structures: they buy businesses, set targets and leave the operating to someone else. The Mazi Group is the other kind. It builds the companies it owns, and it owns the infrastructure they run on.
Each subsidiary has its own market, its own team and its own commercial decisions. What none of them has to build twice is the expensive part: formulation, filling, quality control, regulatory work, fulfilment and the software that watches all of it. That sits at holding level and every company draws on it.
It is also how new companies start here. Upvendo grew out of technology Mazi Beauty had already built. It was not acquired: it was developed inside the group for its own use, proven on real restaurant floors, and then spun out as a business in its own right. Glam Switch and Bella Gloss followed the same route out of the group's own production capability.
Ownership & capital
Privately held, and funded from the work.
The Mazi Group is privately held and does not publish financial figures. It was funded first by a loan against a family home, then by what its own brands sold.
That is also how it spends. The money goes into production rather than into campaigns.
A structured briefing is available to qualified investors and partners under NDA.
