Built in weeks, to sell something when there was nothing left to sell.

On The Go: four variants, pocket format

On The Go launches as a four-variant pocket range, built fast to give the company a route to market after every other one closed.

Where it came from

Every store that had agreed to stock Mazi Beauty pulled out within days. The group had a warehouse full of product, no route to market, and two weeks to think of something.

What it did have was production contacts and the ability to formulate quickly. On The Go was the answer: pocket hand sanitisers, made fast, sold in volume.

The range today

Four variants in a format built to be carried rather than displayed: pocket-sized, more than 250 sprays per unit, formulated well above the minimum alcohol content usually cited for effectiveness.

It is not the business the company set out to build. It is the one it can build now, with the production contacts it already had.

The four

Each variant keeps the same formula base and the same job; the difference is how it feels to use two dozen times a day.

03Lavender & Herbs
04Aloe & Shea

What is actually in it

The working ingredient is isopropyl alcohol at 75%, well above the threshold usually cited for effective disinfection. Around it sits what makes constant use bearable: vitamin E as an antioxidant that nourishes the skin, aloe vera for soothing and hydration, and glycerin to support the skin's moisture barrier.

It is formulated to pharmaceutical grade through the production partners the company already worked with, which is why it could be made at all at this speed.

Built for the day it lives in

The format is a spray card: flat enough to carry like a bank card, with more than 250 sprays per unit. It is made for the moments between washing your hands, door handles, keys, card terminals, the elevator button, the gas pump. The average person touches more than 1,800 surfaces and objects a day; the card is for the ones you would rather not think about.

Where to get it

The range sells at $2.99 per unit through otgo.store, with free shipping on orders over $35. It is also being taken up private-label by other businesses, which is turning into the larger half of the demand.

Why it matters

A warehouse of unsellable stock and a closed retail network is the kind of year that ends companies. What decided this one was how fast the company could make something else instead.
