The Mazi Beauty kiosk, installed in a Belgian pharmacy

Stories · The Mazi Group

The skin analysis kiosks are coming to Flanders

Technology4 min read

A customer leaves a Belgian pharmacy with products chosen from a reading of their own skin rather than from the shelf edge, and the pharmacist is still in the room. That is what these kiosks are for.

01

What are the skin analysis kiosks?

Self-service kiosks with skin analysis and checkout on the same screen. Mazi Beauty built its own self-service kiosk first. That technology was rebuilt into Upvendo and sold on its own, hardened on working restaurant floors, and it comes back to the pharmacy carrying what it learned there.

"A kiosk does not replace the pharmacist. It hands them an instrument."

02

When do they come to Belgium?

They follow the eye serum launch. Around forty locations across Flanders are expected to carry the full assortment with a skin-analysis kiosk by mid-2027, while the eye serum itself is expected in more than 500 pharmacies. In parallel, the other Mazi Beauty products are systematically brought back to market.

03

Why in the pharmacy?

Because that is where advice belongs. The 2022 pilot taught the group that the Belgian pharmacist is the key: convince them and you convince the customer. The kiosk exists to sharpen that advice, not to replace it.
